Detailed knowledge of species’ geographic ranges is essential for effective conservation and management. Although significant knowledge gaps remain in Central America, ongoing surveys are helping to map the region’s biodiversity. This issue presents new records for five bat species in the forests of Nicaragua, expanding the known diversity of the country’s bat fauna.
