Diclidurus albus, the northern ghost bat, belongs to the Emballonuridae family. The species range spans from Southeast Mexico in Nayarit to Brazil and Bolivia in South America. However, his feeding and roosting habits make the species difficult to register by common sampling methods, leading to knowledge gaps in the species. We conducted a trail inside the Reserva de la Biósfera de Montes Azules (RBMA), State of Chiapas, México. During the trail we observed and photographed an individual of Diclidurus albus roosting under a Sabal mexicana palm leaf. This is the first report of the species for the RBMA and the third for the state of Chiapas. It highlights the importance of conservation areas for conservation of species.
